About Dr. Jerome Adams Jr., PT, DPT, OCS
Jerome Adams Jr., PT, DPT, OCS is the founder, owner and lead physical therapist of Horizon Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation. A Flint native, he opened Horizon in 2012 with a simple idea: recovery should be personal, plain-spoken and delivered by clinicians who actually have the training to back it up. Today Horizon is the leading Black-owned and operated outpatient physical therapy clinic in Flint and Genesee County, with hundreds of five-star reviews from the patients it has helped get back to the things they love.

Areas of focus
Orthopaedic and sports physical therapy, post-surgical rehabilitation, back and neck pain, manual therapy and dry needling, return-to-sport programs for youth and adult athletes, and lymphedema care.
Beyond the clinic
Dr. Adams also founded Flint’s Finest Basketball Club (2008), a 501(c)(3) youth basketball nonprofit, and he speaks and writes on leadership, youth development and healthcare practice ownership.
